A semantic map of a French vocabulary deck, words grouped into clusters of meaning

How it works

From word list to word web

1

Add your words

Create cards in seconds or import your existing Anki decks. AI enriches every word with context in the background, which takes about twenty seconds per card and never blocks you.

2

Watch the map grow

Related words find each other automatically and settle into clusters of meaning. Your deck becomes a graph you can explore, edit, and expand.

3

Review and read

Reviews use spaced repetition to bring each card back just before you would have forgotten it. Then ask for a story built from words the map has connected, and tap any word in it for an instant translation.

AI bridge stories

Pick a word, or a handful, and Vernabla writes a short story that uses them together. Your vocabulary shows up where it belongs: in sentences, doing work, next to the words it usually keeps company with.

Tap any word you do not know

Every word in a story is tappable. You get the meaning it carries in that sentence, its dictionary form, and a translation. If it is worth keeping, one tap turns it into a card, and it finds its own place on the map.

Tapping the word matin in a story shows the translation morning and a button to add it as a card

Spaced repetition you already know

Reviews run on SM-2, with four ratings and nothing to configure. Cards you find hard come back sooner, cards you know come back later. The map is what is new here; the reviewing is deliberately not.

Languages

Works with almost any language

Nothing in the map is tied to one alphabet or one language. It reads meaning, so it groups Arabic right to left and Mandarin characters the same way it groups French.
